I was on my way home from work when I heard the familiar sound of a car engine approaching behind me. The traffic seemed to be moving slowly, so I didn't think much of it at first. But as the distance between us closed, I could hear the rhythmic sound of the tires and feel the vibrations passing through the sidewalk. Suddenly, a black sedan pulled up next to me and stopped.
