You take it to a town square where you hope to sell it, but the pawn shop owner tells you it's not worth much because it has some sort of enchantment on it. Noticing your disappointment, another stranger approaches and offers to buy it for a hefty price tag - but only if you can prove that it's truly magical by using its powers to defeat a powerful monster.
