Description: It was the hottest day of the year, the sun beat down mercilessly upon me as I dragged myself along the ground like a dying dog. The only relief I could find was to take refuge in my favorite coffee shop, Ambar, where I could drown my sorrows in nectar so cold and sweet it slipped down my throat like a dream. As I sat there wallowing in self-pity, I heard the familiar sound of my ex-girlfriend calling out from across the street. She looked happy, like she had moved on with her life. With my head hung low, I stumbled out of the shop. Suddenly, a sudden gust of wind blew open the doors of Ambar and swept her right into my arms. She was so surprised she couldn't help but squeal in delight. "You know what?!" she said with a grin as bright as the sun, "I just got a job here!" I looked up at her, shocked. How could such a thing happen? Was it divine intervention, or perhaps the same magic that lured me into this shop months ago? Regardless of the reason, I was overjoyed to see her back again, even if only for a moment. As we stood there talking for what seemed like forever, I noticed her eyes welling up with tears. "I'm so happy, but so sad at the same time," she said softly. "I don't want this to be our last goodbye, but I can't promise myself that it won't be." Her words stung like a needle in my heart. She was right; we could never be together again. But that didn't stop me from wanting her back. "Ambar take my nectar," I whispered to myself, hoping she would hear me.
