The summer of 2019 brought about an unparalleled opportunity for the sunshine state of Florida to showcase its allure. My friend and I were fortunate enough to be invited to a house party on Clearwater Beach, where we could revel in the sunny daylight and enjoy the refreshing ocean waters. As the hours ticked by, our anticipation grew with every second, knowing full well that this day would be one for the books. The moment we stepped foot onto the beach, it was clear we had made a mistake. Despite the fact that I live in a sunny state myself, the sheer intensity of the sunlight left me feeling as if my entire body was on fire, unable to tolerate its warmth for even a minute. My friend, however, was determined not to let any obstacle interfere with our fun, so we dived right in and headed towards the ocean. The water temperature was perfect, offering relief from the intense heat of the sun, leaving us both feeling carefree and weightless as we swam about. We could feel the tension melt away like a sugar cube into tea, making it impossible to imagine life without this kind of freedom again. After hours of swimming and enjoying the water's refreshing coolness, we headed back to the beach for an afternoon siesta. The sun's warmth was still present even under the shade of our rental chair, but thankfully the breeze blew softly through the air, providing a welcome relief. As I lay there under the warm rays of the sun, my eyes closed and my mind wandered off into a dreamy state. At first, it seemed like a normal day at the beach, with waves crashing upon the shore and seagulls calling out overhead. Then, all of sudden, an overwhelming sense of peace and tranquility washed over me as I let go of my worries and fears. It was as if time had stood still, leaving nothing but pure serenity in its wake. For a moment, it felt like my whole world had melted away into one beautiful day at the beach, where all that mattered was the warm embrace of the sunshine and the sound of waves crashing against the shore. I couldn't help but smile as I let myself drift off to sleep under the warm glow of the sun. It was the perfect end to a perfect day, leaving us both with memories that would last a lifetime.
