Description: Cristina is a 20-year old girl from the countryside of Portugal who comes to the city to pursue her dreams of being a singer and actress. However, she struggles with the harsh reality of the entertainment industry and the lack of opportunities for young talent. She spends most of her day working odd jobs to pay the rent and occasionally performs in a local bar. One day, while on her way home, she runs into her old friend Carlos who has since become a successful director. He convinces her to audition for his latest production which ends up being an erotic thriller movie where she plays the lead role of a naive country girl who gets trapped in a sinister sex trafficking ring run by a ruthless pimp named Mario. The movie is a massive hit and Cristina becomes a household name overnight, but she quickly finds out that her success comes with a price: her physical and mental health deteriorates rapidly and she starts to question the morality of her newfound fame.
